A Little Bit of Heaven

"The storm is coming son , close that window right now, your mother will get mad at you"
The man said
But dad there is a shadow out side , it barely can move" the boy tell his father
" what? You must be mistaken boy, it is only dust out side, no one will dare to go out in this storm
" I am sure dad, Come and look out through the window , he can not move ,
he falls down every time he stand up"
The boy seems very sure that there is someone out side
the woman said
" please dear, take a look maybe there is a poor animal out side, and it needs a shelter"
she added
" ok" the husband said
" I am sure mom that he is a person not an animal, he is very tall to be an animal" the boy protest
" ok calm down, I will go and see" he looked at him with a smile and leave
Jack and his wife, lora left the city five years a go and settled on the top of heaven valley
Thats how it called. it is so beautiful . . miles and miles of beauty where the ,
blue sky ,the trees and the silver river emerge in a peaceful and magical paintand
it is the first time since they came here , they face this kind of storm
" mom come and take a look!! dady is coming and he is not alone , there is someone with him"
The boy scream
Lora hurry to the door to see what her son is talking about
She opens the door to see her husband carrying a stranger, who seems very weak
" who is he? Where is he from ?" the wife asked
" bring that chair first dear, hurry, he is very heavy guy"
She respond to his request and brought him the chair
" water, please!! The stranger whisper.
The boy ran to the kitchen and brought him a glass of water
The stranger raised his head hardly, when the boy gave him the glass
" thank you , he looked at the boy with a smile and take the glass"
The husband and the wife stand in silence watching him drinking
Water , he looked very tired, Lora whisper to her husband
" Sir, what happend to you? , the boy asked"
Hush, boy give the man some times to catch his breath, his mother said
" it is ok , first I am realy thankful for saving my life and for your kindness "
He looked at them then he added
" I have been a way for a long time and I have just arrived two days a go"
I was in the army, and when the war finished I came home.
His last sentence was full of pain , they can sense this from his way of speaking and his look.
" It is ok sir, you can tell us your story after supper, take your time and try to sleep till then"
Jack said
" thank you again" the stranger whisper softly

Two hours later they all sit on the table, enjoying their meal
I can't hear the wind anymore. The storm must be over
The wife said
" it must be " the stranger said
After the supper the boy could not hold it any more and start the conversation
" ?Sir , did we win the war "
"sir"
" ?sorry, what
The boy repeat his question
" In war , there is no winning my son, there is always tears and losing from both sides" he said
" please forgive our son, he did not mean to bother you " Jack said
" not at all sir, I am very happy of talking to him, god bless him " he said
" you must be asking your self right now
what bring a stranger to my valley in this day? he said
" if you don't mind , Jack said, as you see my house is very far from the city and
rarely we see any one around.
" It was my home, too the strangers said"
and without waiting for their questions he said
" this valley was mine , or I can say it belonged to my family
Seven years a go my father had an accident on his way back home and he could not make it.
and few weeks later my mother died too out of her sadness on my father death
my brother and I could not handle the sadness and the emptiness of losing our parents.
so I decided to join the army and my brother stayed with our relatives and he
sold the valley when he thought that I was killed in the war.
" we are so sorry to hear that. the wife said when she saw tears gathered in his eyes"
" It is alright, I must deal with my sadness and move on, and for that I came here today
I want to say good bye to my parents and to the place I love most and I am really sorry
If my visit bother you Sir and your family." the stranger said"
" Not at all Jack said, now I know why it is called heaven valley not because of its beauty and its blue sky as I thought ,
but because of the love and happiness that was here .
I am really greatful for your brother that he sold me this valley,
but if you want to get your house back, I will give it back to you " the man said
" No, no, as I said I came here to say good bye and leave,
I am very thankful for your generous offer, I am very happy that some one like you and your family
Live here, I feel great now and If you dont mind I will visit my parents grave and leave
" as you wish sir", and whenever you want to visit them you are most welcome" the man said
" thank you" the stranger said and shake Jack hand and leave"
.
They all left the house hand in hand and for sometimes no words have been spoken
Their eyes were following the stranger‘s shadow leaving their valley .
