Band-aids Don't Heal Broken Hearts

I've read this peace of writing … and somehow I felt it affecting .. so I liked to share it with you … hope you'll enjoy reading it …


I put a band-aid over a broken heart,
I knew it wouldn't work, though.
I knew that from the start.

So desperately I waited for my heart to heal,
Because pain seemed to be all I could feel.

Tears tumbled down my impatient face,
Waiting for the band-aid to work it's magic,
I prayed to God this was only a phase.

Finally I ripped the band-aid off of my heart,
And a more tears came back to my eyes.
The wound in my heart was still there,
Along with all of my despair.

I came to terms that night,
Band-aids don't heal broken hearts.
But I realized that love might.

when your heart is broken ... it will never be mended ... a broken and a hurt heart ... can forgive ... but can never forget the killing pain of bieng once broken ...
