A Farewell to False Love

Farewell, false love, the oracle of lies,
A mortal foe and enemy to rest,
An envious boy, from whom all cares arise,
A bastard vile, a beast with rage possessed,
A way of error, a temple full of treason,
In all effects contrary unto reason.

A poisoned serpent covered all with flowers,
Mother of sighs, and murderer of repose,
A sea of sorrows whence are drawn such showers
As moisture lend to every grief that grows;
A school of guile, a net of deep deceit,
A gilded hook that holds a poisoned bait.

A fortress foiled, which reason did defend,
A siren song, a fever of the mind,
A maze wherein affection finds no end,
A raging cloud that runs before the wind,
A substance like the shadow of the sun,
A goal of grief for which the wisest run.

A quenchless fire, a nurse of trembling fear,
A path that leads to peril and mishap,
A true retreat of sorrow and despair,
An idle boy that sleeps in pleasure's lap,
A deep mistrust of that which certain seems,
A hope of that which reason doubtful deems.

Sith then thy trains my younger years betrayed,
And for my faith ingratitude I find;
And sith repentance hath my wrongs bewrayed,
Whose course was ever contrary to kind:
False love, desire, and beauty frail, adieu.
Dead is the root whence all these fancies grew.

I thought that you love me but I was wrong
I thought you with me I will be more strong
It is hard to know my love was a short song
You lied to me and fooled me I am not young
Now I thank God that we did not get along
I do not believe you anymore
You hurt me times before
More than I can endure
What I wait for , something more
Is not that tough ! Is not that enough!
You give me pain , I did not complain
Now Let me go , Where? I do not know
No more tears , no more fears
Just go away , and leave me alone
No excuse , do not explain
But me no but , I love you not .

Creative as usual .Thanks alot brother .I really enjoyed my being over here .However brother ,it is not the end of life .We have to go on and never give up .Thatz life .Those whom our hearts kept and were sincere to and thus did not appreciate what we did ,do not deserve our hearts . Sorry brother but your nice words drove me saying this . Really appreciate your kind writings .

All i have to say is wow! that man's poem let my heart cry. I could feel every word as if it was my own expirence, but with your poem the difference was is that you based it on yourself only. I didn't get the same visions as i got from his with yours. With yours i got the point that your heart was left broken but with his, the visions i got were very sympathetic, i felt his pain :(l

I don't mean to be rude, but you have a long way to go before your poem will match Raleigh's. Keep working at it though :) because I do like your beautiful poems. They're really amazing. Just don't compare yourself to anyone who has words that survive centuries
