    Using Hair Products and Accessories

Danny: You’re going to the prom. How exciting! How should we style you hair?

Clarissa: I’m really not sure. I was hoping you would have some ideas.

Danny: I do, but first we need to see if we have the right tools. Let’s look in your bathroom. Here’s some shampoo and conditioner, but where are the gel, mousse, and hairspray?

Clarissa: Here, they’re on this shelf. Here’s a hairdryer and some rollers, too. Do you think we’ll need the curling iron or the flat iron?

Danny: I’m not sure, but put them here, just in case. Okay, now I need a brush and comb, and some bobby pins. We’ll need some elastic bands, too, to pull your hair back.

Clarissa: Here, they’re all in this drawer.

Danny: Oh, this is a pretty barrette, but we won’t need it for tonight. Okay, ready for the transformation?

Clarissa: I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.

Danny: Okay, let the fun begin
    !

This conversation happens between three girls and it is about Denmark and its attitude towards our prophet(P.B.U.H).

Marwa: my sister love this kind of cheese. but is it from Denmark?

    Maram: Look at the cover.

Mona: well done Marwa! at least we must oblige on this boycott because of what the Danish did and said about our prophet peace be upon him.

Maram: Why? What did they do?

Mona: Do not you Know? Are you sleeping Maram?

    Maram: unfortunately not.

Marwa: The Danish assaulted our prophet by drawing and publishing some cartoon in the newspaper insulting our prophet Mohammad and showed him as terrorist.

Maram: Oh!!! They exceeded their limits.

Mona: Yes right. because of that we are boycotting their productions.

Maram: Oh!! I have an idea. Let's write a book about Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H)and his greatness what do you think?

    Marwa: Wow, good idea.

    Mona: Bravo.

    Describing People’s Voices

Adriana: Shhh, I’m trying to listen to the radio.

Ralph: How can you listen to that radio station? All of their deejays have such funny voices.

Adriana: That’s precisely why I like it. Take this guy, Kevin. He has a deep, husky voice that I find really sexy.

Ralph: This guy? His voice is so monotone that it lulls me to sleep every time I hear it.

Adriana: Well, if you don’t like his voice, how about his sidekick, Lisa May? Her voice is music to my ears.

Ralph: She has a nice lilt in her voice, but it’s so high-pitched and squeaky. It can really be grating to listen to her for more than a few minutes.

Adriana: Okay, if you don’t like their voices, what kind of voices do you like?

Ralph: I like a gravelly voice, speaking softly and saying...

Adriana: I’m not talking about your fantasies. I don’t want to know anything about those!

    Getting a Dream Job

Tandia: Do you want these want ads after I’m finished with them?

Hank: No, I’m not going to find my dream job in the classifieds. I’m going to have to get more creative with my job search.

Tandia: What are you looking for?

Hank: I want a job that’s rewarding and fast-paced, and with good growth potential, but all I see are dead-end jobs.

Tandia: I know what you mean. I’m looking for something that’s challenging, but also with flexible work hours. All of my friends have great jobs. Why can’t I land one of them?

Hank: Instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, we need a better game plan.

Tandia: What do you have in mind?

Hank: I’m not sure, but we need to get noticed.

Tandia: Why don’t you take out a billboard? That should get you noticed.

Hank: Hey, that’s really thinking out of the box.

    Tandia: I was joking!

Hank: I’m not. That’s an inspired idea. Now what should we put on the billboard?

    Tandia: You’re crazy!

Amal;hi doctor ,how do you do

Nutritionist :hi,i'm fine ,thank you dear

    Amal:doctor as you know

In today's world, where every body is
    getting conscious about looking good

Nutritionist: yes you are right Amal

Nutritionist:ok dear you to must helpe me too.

Amal:fine deal, what shuold i do to reach an ideal figure

Nutritionist:ok , first of all you must

    Avoid taking white foods as
they contain large amounts of carbohydrates,
which may further lead to weight gain. Replace white sugar,
white rice, and white flour with whole grain breads and brown rice

Amal: yes ok doctor and then

    Nutritionist:

Skip watching TV for an hour and go for a walk instead. Or else,
you have now time to finish
    your domestic chores.

Eat fruit rather than drinking fruit juice

Eating whole foods will keep you satisfied

for longer period of time than juice.

Moreover, fruit juices are very high in calories

    Amal: ok fine

    Nutritionist:

Eat more vegetables during meals as water-rich foods like zucchini,
    tomatoes, and cucumbers reduce
    your overall calorie consumption.
    Some other water-rich foods include
soups and salads; they are good source of nutrition

    Amal:ok doctor,what els?

    Nutritionist:

Switch to ordinary coffee because coffee drinks at shops
    has extra calories,
owing to whole milk, whipped cream,
    sugar, and sugary syrups.
    A cup of regular coffee,
    having skim milk brewed
    with good beans, tastes great
    and moreover has fewer calories.

Amal:ok but doctor can you tell me please examples
    for some foods that contain
    vitamins , minerals
    and fiber

    Kristy: (from U.K)
Huda: (from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
    Amal: (from Egypt)
    Sou hii: (from Japan)

    Kristy: (from U.K)
Good morning all, my name is Kristy from United Kingdom

Huda: (from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
Huda: Good morning, nice to meet you Kristy. I'm Huda from Saudi Arabia

Kristy :well thank you. It nice too meet you too

    Amal: (from Egypt)

Kristy and Huda, hi how are you? I'm Amal from Egypt.

    Sou hii: (from Japan)
Good morning girls can I join you, my name is Sou hii form Japan
    Kristy: good morning

Huda: for sure you can join us
Amal: And it nice too meet you Sou hii

    Sou Hii: thank you girls
Kristy:ok can we start conversation about customs of our countries?

Amal,Huda,Sou Hii: yes ok ,that's great

    Kristy:ok who will start first?
    Huda: well,, you start .Kristy

    Amal: yes Kristy
Sou Hii: please tell us about your customs in U.K

    Kristy:
Britain is full of culture and traditions which have been around for hundreds of years. British customs and traditions are famous all over the world. When people think of Britain they often think of people drinking tea, eating fish and chips and wearing bowler hats, but there is more to Britain than just those things. We have English and British traditions of sport, music, food and many royal occasions and Halloween day

Amal: What do you mean by" Halloween".
    Kristy:
Halloween: On October 31st, we celebrate Halloween, thought to be the one night of the year when ghosts, witches, and fairies are especially activeTraditional Halloween celebrations and customs in England and

Sou Hii: oh I see, I will tell you about the tea ceremony,

The tea ceremony (sado: "the way of the tea") is a ceremonial way of preparing and drinking tea. The custom has been strongly influenced by Zen Buddhism.
Nowadays, the tea ceremony is a relatively popular hobby. Many Japanese, who are interested in their own culture, take tea ceremony lessons. Tea ceremonies are held in traditional Japanese rooms in cultural community centers or private houses.
the tea is first prepared by the host, and then drunk by the guests. The tea is bitter matcha green tea made of powdered tea leaves.

Huda: That's very nice.ok I'll tell you about our custom in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi women, like their other Arab counterparts, wear a traditional covering, called an abaya. It is a large, loose-fitting cloak-like garment worn over their clothes. The purpose of this Arabic dress is to protect the women, and help them to remain modest.

The abaya, the name for the traditional Arabic dress, hides a woman’s figure from the eyes of a man, and therefore, she cannot lead him to sin if she is properly covered. The Saudi woman wears the abaya in adherence to her religious practices. Arabic women from different parts of the world wear various colors of cloth to cover their body, but Saudi women usually wear black.

Amal:In Egypt we have the same custom like K.S.A
Muslims celebrate Ramadan with joy and happiness. They prepare for it by hanging up colored decorations in the streets & banners announcing that Ramadan is coming soon. They also hang up what Muslims call "Fanus", for example,. lanterns of different shapes and colors, some of which are lightened simply by candlesEgyptians like rest of the Muslims all over the
world fast at holy month of Ramadan, it is the time when they all come close to each other and respect each other, it is the time Egypt stay awake at night.
During this month, donations, almsgiving and charity would be at its highest rates, it is the time for forgiveness and love. It is a wonderful month.

Kristy: well , I really enjoyed the conversation girls.

Huda: yes me too girls I really did

Amal:I knew new information about your countries

Sou Hii: yes I agree with you all

    Idioms Conversations

    Conversation 1:

Sally: Charlie you really should pay attention in class.

Charlie: Well, I don’t get anything that the teacher is saying.

Sally: You are the only oddball in this class that doesn’t. Everything our teacher teaches is lifted right off the book.

Charlie: Well, it ain’t my fault that the teacher is so blah.

Sally: She isn’t that bad. When it comes to teachers you are just not open-minded.

Charlie: Well, when it comes to teachers you are a suck up, and all the marks you have in this class were handed to you on a silver platter.

Sally: You are just jealous because you can’t get A’s like me.

    *******************************************

    Conversation 2:

Brian: Hey Angel! Did you hear what happened in Mrs. Bee’s class? Bush and Clint got into a huge spat in the middle of class.

Angel: Yeah I know. Clint challenged Bush to take it outside. This fight is going to be so hype. Gosh, I don’t want to miss it! Do you have any clue as to where the fight might be?

Brian: Hey do you see that huge gathering by the back doors? Come on Angel, let’s get a move on.

(Brain and Angel are amongst the crowd watching Clint and Bush)

Angel: Clint just socked Bush in the head. That should get the ball rolling.

Brian: Ouch! Bush nailed Clint to the floor. They are neck and neck in this fight.

Angel: Well, I’m placing my money on Clint. When it comes down to it, I think Bush is yellow-bellied.

Brian: Well, I guess we’ll never know because the principal is on his way
    .

    *******************************************

    Conversation 3:

Sharon: It was just so sunny yesterday! Now, it’s raining cats and dogs out there.

Jason: I guess your date tonight with Jerry is called off, right?

Sharon: Yeah I guess, since we can’t have a picnic now. I’m stuck at home tonight.

Jason: Well I think it’s a good thing. Take this as a sign that you are not ready to be going out with anyone yet. You just broke up with Philip and at the drop of a hat you are with the next guy.

Sharon: What do you have against Jerry, Jason? Stop beating around the bush, and just spill the beans.

Jason: Sharon, I don’t know why you are so naïve. Everyone knows that Jerry is a bad egg. Didn’t you hear what happened at his last two high schools before he transferred to our school.

Sharon: Come on Jason, give the boy a break. People change. Jason, I don’t want to discuss this, can we please just drop it?

Jason: Sure, I don’t want to push this issue
    .

    *******************************************

    Conversation 4:

Fred: George, there is so much information being hurled at us in this English class.

Jessica: Yeah, and it’s all going in through one ear and coming out the other, right?

Fred: Actually, it’s all sinking in.

Jessica: Gosh Fred, what happened? You turned over a new leaf or something? You seem to have acquired this sudden thirst for knowledge.

Fred: I know! Out of the blue, I got this sudden interest in English.

Jessica: Well, maybe it’s the night classes that you are taking to brush up on your English. You know what they say: you would like a subject if you were good at it.

Fred: I don’t know why, but I’m secretly hoping to be the apple of our teacher’s eye.

Jessica: Well I know you would bend over backwards to excel at something you like. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you became the teacher’s pet.

    *******************************************

    Conversation 5:

    John: Hey Lizzie! What’s up?

Lizzie: I hate to say it, but my boyfriend is seeing another girl behind my back.

John: I think you have a chip on your shoulder because you are always looking for a fight with him.

Lizzie: No seriously, John. Frank has been giving me the cold shoulder for the last two weeks. I’m holding my breath thinking that he would just get it off his chest, and tell me that he doesn’t love me anymore, so I can just break up with him.

John: Wow, hold your horses. Don’t bark up the wrong tree. First of all, you have no proof that he is cheating on you. Your imagination is working overtime. Maybe, Frank is just going through a rough time at home, and wants some space. You are making a mountain out of a molehill just because you are scared that he might make the same mistake he made last year. Trust me, he learned his lesson.
