Rain falls

Soft rain at my window
Every butterfly has hurried away
All the honeybees have called it a day
And the columbine are bending their heads
in the rain

Rain falls
soft rain making puddles
for the children's feet
the puddles are sweet
And the skater-bug fleet finds small pools a treat
And the columbine are bending their heads
in the rain.


While the rain is falling there's a
quietness about the world;
While the thunder is calling there's
a quiet hush about the world
A time to remember the beautiful things,
To look for tomorrow and your fondest dreams

? Tell me, did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
?And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
?One without a permanent scar
?did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
?And head back to the Milky Way
?And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
?Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for
?yourself out there

One day I wrote her name upon the strand,
But came the waves and washed it away:
Again I wrote it with a second hand,
But came the tide, and made my pains his prey.
"Vain man," said she, "that dost in vain assay,
A mortal thing so to immortalize;
For I myself shall like to this decay,
And eke my name be wiped out likewise."
"Not so," (quod I) "let baser things devise
To die in dust, but you shall live by fame:
My verse your vertues rare shall eternize,
And in the heavens write your glorious name:
Where whenas death shall all the world subdue,
Our love shall live, and later life renew."

I’ve been spending more
time alone.
I am trying hard to be good to myself,
listen to my observer.
Trust my inner flame.
Let the vibrational energies
of the universe carry
me to where I belong.
I put faith in myself.
I can’t believe how
lucky I am sometimes.
The universe shows
me love in so many
ways and I appreciate
and recognize so few.
Thank you for showing
me where beauty exists.
Thank you for helping
me to believe in the
favor of my odds.
The sky takes after the ocean, adding it’s
flares and lights-
each just as beautiful
as each other.

Everything you touch surely dies

Same old empty feeling in your heart

Strange sight
You stand in the light
You're wrong but you're right
My hearts beating wildly
Strange
How I'm scared but delighted
Afraid but excited too

You have a cold heart
You're reckless and distant
But I'll be persistent

How I'm drawn to the danger
I'll reach out my hand to you

Do you long to be left all alone?
Set apart with a heart made of stone

All the light, let it show

You are a strange sight
Some new kind of wonder
With good hidden under
I'm sure that it's true

How your dark doesn't faze me

~The Nightingale
No cloud, no relique of the sunken day
Distinguishes the West, no long thin slip
Of sullen light, no obscure trembling hues.
Come, we will rest on this old mossy bridge!
You see the glimmer of the stream beneath.
But hear no murmuring: it flows silently
O'er its soft bed of verdure. All is still.
A balmy night! and though the stars be dim,
Yet let us think upon the vernal showers
That gladden the green earth, and we shall find
A pleasure in the dimness of the stars.
And hark! the Nightingale begins its song,
'Most musical, most melancholy' bird!
A melancholy bird? O idle thought!
In Nature there is nothing melancholy.
But some night-wandering man whose heart was pierced
With the remembrance of a grievous wrong,
Or slow distemper, or neglected love,
(And so, poor wretch! filled all things with himself,
And made all gentle sounds tell back the tale

A Book Of Memories

Hidden in the attic,
all the way upstairs,
is something very special,
that I would like to share.

My hopes,
my dreams,
old photographs,
of good times and bad times that make me laugh.

The joy of a hug,
leaves me to remember the pure, simple bliss.

I cry for the fun,
and giggle for the pain,
I enjoyed the good life I was able to maintain.

The thoughts and wishes,
they all stay with me,
all of these contained in my book of memories
